Blue Lock is a fictional team from the manga and anime series “Blue Lock,” which revolves around the sport of soccer. Written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, the series was first serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in August 2018.

The premise of “Blue Lock” is centered around an ambitious and unorthodox project started by the Japanese Football Union to elevate Japan to the status of a world-class soccer nation. The Blue Lock project is a training regime designed to create the world’s greatest egotist striker, who can lead Japan to win the World Cup.

The story follows Yoichi Isagi, a high school soccer player who is invited to participate in the Blue Lock project after failing to lead his school to the national tournament. The Blue Lock facility is an all-encompassing training complex where 300 talented strikers from high schools across Japan are isolated and pitted against each other. The project’s goal is to narrow the field down to a single player who possesses the skills, mindset, and ego necessary to become the national team’s ace striker.

As participants advance through the grueling competition and training, they must learn to harness their individuality, selfishness, and scoring prowess to survive.
